    Cloth, Runner, Mat, Napkin

    Four layers, one print. This is the order stylists use — and the reason a set table reads as considered rather than crowded.

    1 · The Tablecloth

    The foundation. Choose your size for a 10–12″ drop on each side — elegant, and still comfortable for seated guests.

    2 · The Runner

    Runs the length of the table and anchors the centre. Leave 6–12″ of cloth showing at each end so it reads as a deliberate band, not a second cloth.

    3 · The Placemats

    Define each seat. Set them square to the table edge, roughly an inch in, and let the runner pass underneath or between them.

    4 · The Napkins

    The finishing note. Folded on the mat or tucked under the fork — same print, so the whole table reads as one piece.

    Measure your table length and width, then add 10–12 inches on each side for a standard drop (the fabric that hangs over the edge). As a guide: 54×54″ and 60×60″ fit 2–4 seaters, 60×90″ fits 4–6, 70×108″ fits 6–8, 70×118″ fits 8–10, 80×120″ fits 10–12, and 72×190″ seats up to 16. The size selector above auto-recommends napkin, placemat and runner quantities to match.
    A runner should stop 6–12 inches short of each table end, so the cloth still shows underneath. Our 16×72″ suits tables up to about 90″ long, 16×90″ suits 100–110″ tables, and 16×106″ suits anything longer. If you prefer the runner to overhang the ends instead, size up. The configurator picks a recommended length for your tablecloth size automatically.
    Two ways, both correct. Run the runner down the centre and place the mats on top where they overlap — this gives the most layered, styled look. Or set the mats first and let the runner pass between them, which keeps each place setting flat and is easier for serving. Either way, keep the runner centred and the mats square to the table edge, about an inch in.
    One napkin and one placemat per seat. Placemats come in sets of 4, and napkins in packs of 4, 8, 12, 16 and up — the configurator matches both to your tablecloth size automatically.
